I downloaded a bunch of different fonts today. When I saved them to the font folder on the C Drive they are saved as "True Type Font Files". I cant get Photoshop to read them. All the other fonts in the Folder have a Capitol A next to them and are "Post Scripts Outlines" type of files. Photoshop reads them. Can and if so, how do I get Photoshop to read the new fonts? Thanks.

Photoshop, and any other Windows programs, should be able to read the fonts fine. Do you have the fonts in the correct location?
To install fonts on Windows XP, open up this folder:
My Computer>Control Panel>Fonts
and simply highlight, click, and drag all the fonts into that folder. Once that's done all you should need to do is open up Photoshop. If PS was open when you installed the fonts, then you will need to close it and then open it again. It should automatically load all the installed fonts on your PC.

That was the problem. There is a font folder on the C drive itself and I had saved them there. I cut and pasted them into the font folder off the controll panel and it worked fine. Thanks.
