I'm going through my audio bootlegs right now and I need help with a Metallica audio show from '86.
It says it's from Indianapolis, April 8, 1986.
The tracklist says that they played Fade to black, but the track actually is Welcome home (sanitarium)
Also when listening to this bootleg I couldn't hear what James sings in Seek. It sounds like a name of a city.
I also checked the tour database here at metpage and the timeline at Metallica.com, they both list Fade to black and not Sanitarium so I've got doubts that this recording is from Indianapolis.
Although after Creeping death James says something that sounds like "Indi". That obviously refers to Indianapolis or Indiana, but it still leaves me with the Fade/Sanitarium confusion.
Could anyone help me determine which show this is?
Maybe I can upload it here. It's in mp3 format. Most of my audio bootlegs are, but I don't really care if it's mp3, flac or wav, although I know about the differences between the formats.
Here's a link to my copy: http://rapidshare.co...apolis.rar.html
Cheers and many thanks in advance,
Indianapolis '86?

I got the same bootleg.
I can hear Indy during seek and after creep, and Indaaaaay before puppetz.
I think it's the real Indianapolis. Setlists are often wrong when based on the bootleg. If the tracklist is wrong, the setlist is wrong. By the way fade and welcome are both melodic songs, ballads then probably the guy who wrote the tracklist made the confusion

I agree with Mike.
James screams: "Indy, Master of Puppets" before the song
James sings: "Scanning the scene in Indy tonight""
