Hello Metallica fans!

I'm Rene Treitler from Wiesbaden and I'm 36 years old.

I have been living in St. Goarshausen (Loreley), West Germany, since mid-2019. The small town is populated by 1350 people and is well worth seeing because of Germany's largest river and the landscape.

In 1985 Metallica played on the Loreley stage in St. Goarshausen. This concert is included in the "Ride The Lightning Deluxe Boxset" and as a cover label here on this homepage. I am so honored. I'm a huge Metallica fan. I think I own around 600+ Metallica live albums.

The open-air stage, which is located between the towns of St. Goarshausen and Weisel, was built and opened in 1932 and rock bands have also played there since 1976. Now, however, this stage no longer exists as you knew it. In 2017 it was rebuilt and a new roof was erected. Unfortunately, no heavy metal has been played since 2018.

Once a year there is the so-called "Night Of The Prog" with old bands like "Deep Purple". But bands like "Santjano" also play on this stage.

I just wanted to say "Hello" from the small town in beautiful Germany :-)

If there is someone here on the homepage from Germany or even from the vicinity or was just here in St. Goarshausen, they can maybe get in touch or simply follow "pichunter86" on Instagram :-)

Best regards René Treitler
